Regroup audio files

Sometimes when you have a collection of mp3 in a folder, in the Audio / Album section the songs are shown each separately on different albums. Is it possible to choose to group all the mp3s of a folder as if they were from the same album?

It is not directly possible on VLC. You can do it by editing their metadata and set the same album name though.

It would be so useful to be able to group audios by folder (just like as you can already group videos by folder in VLC)
Could you implement this to audio files too?

You can see them by folder, by selecting the Browse view rather than Audio.

But worse still: If I have an artist's songs split between folders (perhaps because the album comprises different genres of music), VLC (Audio) creates multiple entries for ARTIST and ALBUM.
