proper search results stored files

I use VLC 3.2.11 as a musicbox on my Android phone. When i want to find a song in the music folder i use VLC search. Although in the right directory VLC search is almost never able to find them. How get proper search results from stored files?

Are the songs in sub-folders of your music folder? If so, the search doesn't search in sub-folders. You may want to search in the Audio screen that let's you search your entire library.
