Playing Music from a web share

Dear VLC support

I recently installed Tonido on my home network as google play is moving to youtube music and I am not a fan of commercials to listen to my own music :)

However Tonido is (as far as I can tell) not supported anymore, but works well for a lot of things.

One of which is accessing files on a web share. Here is an example.

The Tonido Audio Player on android is rather problematic but if I need to use it I will.

My hopes was that I could access these files (or another web share, I have an ASUS router with the ability to access files remotely as well.)
And play them using VLC instead a the player is massively more powerful and stable.

Any thoughts on accessing web shares and playing them on VLC?

Thanks for your time and wisdom

Hi,

tonido seems to support webdav, this is probably the way to go. VLC doesn't support tonido itself.
