1st issue

Vlc will no longer steam mp4 files

2nd issue

While it will steam other media files it is stalling out within 5 minutes of play and not remembering where it left off

3red issue

When trying to get around vlc not steaming mp4 files I've been using the google home app and just steaming the whole screen

It works

However it does not center the video stream normally off to the side bit usually within 15 minutes the video will freeze then crash

Could you please tell me the device model, Android version and VLC app version you are using?
Could you also please provide some logs?
Go in the Settings > Advanced > Debug logs > Start logging
Then reproduce the issue, dump logcat logs and attach the file here.

I've had the same issue with both Samsung galaxy s9 and s20 +
All have been current rom

I've got the dumb logcat logs but don't see a way to upload it

using the most current vlc beta version as well

You can just upload it on any share service you want (Drive, Dropbox) or on pastebin.
