Resume playback not cleared

Running VLC 3.2.12 on a Galaxy tab s6 and there is a problem with resume playback. If you clear the history (or just have history turned off) it still remembers the last video (and audio) file you played. So if I tap resume it says "the location file:///storage/[file name] cannot be played". Or plays it if my usb is plugged in.

So even though the whole history is not visible at least the last file is. This shouldn't happen. Clearing history should remove the resume playback values as well. I even tried clearing the media database and those values remain.

Is there something I'm missing or is this an oversight (or a bug)?

This would be a bug. Can you test with 3.3.0 beta 7?

Just installed the beta and it's doing the same thing. While it doesn't show a list of recent files it will play (or try to play) the last file played if you tap resume playback on both audio and video. Tried turning the option to remember playback history on/off and it made no difference. Also tried going into advanced settings and clearing the playback history and didn't help either.

So the same situation still exists in 3.3.0b7 (at least on my Galaxy Tab s6 anyway). Do I log this as a bug somewhere else? Or is this post sufficient?

There is indeed currently no way to make the app forget the last playback. It makes sense to remove it when we remove the history. I will fix this.

That's excellent. Thanks for the prompt response.
