Pause time out

Running on FireStick.
Is there a way to increase the pause time-out on VLC? It seems when I put it on pause for a video I can't even get a cup of coffee before it reverts back to the video folder. Then I need to FF to the place I paused. Love the feature to keep the speed of playback from video to video. Running version 3.2.11
