VLC for Android TV: Open usb camera stream

Hi, is there any way to open usb camera stream on Android TV?

I'm interested in this as well.
Bought a cheap USB endoscope camera, but to be able to view the video on my phone, all the "USB Camera" apps in the Play Store look kinda sketchy.
Would be great if VLC was able to play video feeds from a USB camera.

edit: just noticed the title... my request would be for the Android phone VLC version, not Android TV.
