Where does the android VLC store its created playlists?

I am a playlist junkie, I use Winamp on my PC and love all the playlist creation flexibility it offers.
I now have over 4Gig of music on my android phone on a swapable SD chip. VLC sees it fine and plays it, but the primative VLC playlist creation is wanting.
I know how to edit and create playlists from scratch, I just need to know where VLC stores the playlists it creates so I can manually edit them.

For now they are stored in the underlying media library, in an sqlite database.
At some point we will most likely allow users to export there playlists as regular playlist files, but it isn't doable for now.

Hi,
I'am also looking for the feature to export created playlists as m3u files and store them on my SD card. My goal is to sync them between Desktop and Mobile, syncing is already done by a Nextcloud instance. I'am aware of the absolute/relative path challenges and have solved it already for the (Desktop->Mobile way). Many thanks in advance. Keep going building a great player.

I am trying to move to a different phone and without being able to export my playlists I find that I'm going to loose them all? If I have playlists on other platforms, I cannot import them nor export my android 'lists to other platforms as well.
Is the ability to export & import playlists ever going to be standardized across all platforms?
