DreamlinkT2W - Works with Win 10 SMB 3!

I recently bought a DreamlinkT2W from Amazon. It is the only Android set top box I've found so far that connects successfully to current Windows 10 current SMB protocol. I want to play numerous .iso files I've ripped from DVDs and saved on my Win 10 server. (I used to do this just fine with a Western Digital set top, but it can't access the current version of SMB.) The firmware on the Dreamlink seems to "recognize" .iso files -- it uses a "movie reel" icon to represent them, but clicking on the icon does not start a play. It uses the same icon for .mkv files, and does play them with no sound.
Solution: Use VLC! I was able to download and install VLC on the box. Initially I had the "it plays jerkily" problem, but disabling hardware acceleration solved that problem. Maybe the developers should re-think the default setting. That was also a problem on my Win 10 desktop.
I did find a very nice alternate UI for TV (and set top box) use. That does indeed make it easier to use with a typical IR remote control.
