Local Network playback pausing

I mostly play videos on my shield using VLC and connecting to my Win 7 machine over the local network (SMB). Most of the time it works fine but it every 1 or 2 files I play it will just freeze at some random point in the video. I can't get the video playing again unless I hit "stop" then "play" again then it starts back about 1 second before it pauses and plays perfectly. The network is a wired gigabit network. When using other players on my shield to play these files this never happens. I have two Shields on the network and both of them do this. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi, sorry for the late answer,

could you try to provide some logs ? you can check this guide to find them: https://wiki.videolan.org/Android_Repor ... _not_crash

Thank you. I wasn't sure how to do the logs. It does it fairly regularly so I should be able to get something.

Sorry to dig up this topic, but I still encounter this problem, whatever the video format (mkv, mp4...), I'm on W10 and use SMBv1 (SMBv2 and V3 don't work with VLC).

Unfortunately this is really hard to debug without ways to reproduce and logs.

I no longer have this issue (or haven't in a while). That is why I was never able to provide logs.
