VLC for Android TV - Play all songs in a folder?

Hi all

I haven't been able to make VLC work to play all songs in a specific folder on an Android TV box. Basically, I would like to have an option to open the album folder and play all songs in the folder. This is possible using the VLC Android app by selecting the three dots next to the folder and selecting 'play', or by selecting the three dots next to the song and selecting 'play all'. However, this option is currently not available in the VLC Android TV app.

Any suggestions? I want to play albums from my network drive, hence creating a music library is not an option in this case, because VLC is currently unable to create a music library using the network drives.

Many thanks!

Long click on a media, then select "Play all".

It's a bit broken right now, but fixed for next update (3.0.11).

Thanks for your reply, indeed, the long click does not currently provide this option:

- If I long click on a folder, I only have an option to browse it or add it to favorites;
- If I long click on a media file (e.g. a song), I only have an option to 'play' it or to 'listen' to it, but no 'play all' option is provided.

Any idea when 3.0.11 will become available?

Great! I wonder where I can get this from; i.e., when I go to this page, http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-android.html, it indicates the download will be for 3.0.10.
Well, it looks like I found them here: http://get.videolan.org/vlc-android/3.0.11/
There's a bunch of files listed there . . .
VLC-Android-3.0.11-ARMv7.apk
VLC-Android-3.0.11-ARMv7.apk.sha256
VLC-Android-3.0.11-ARMv8.apk
VLC-Android-3.0.11-ARMv8.apk.sha256
VLC-Android-3.0.11-x86.apk
VLC-Android-3.0.11-x86.apk.sha256
VLC-Android-3.0.11-x86_64.apk
VLC-Android-3.0.11-x86_64.apk.sha256
VLC-Android-sources-3.0.11.tar.gz
VLC-Android-sources-3.0.11.tar.gz.sha256
. . . and I'm never quite sure which one to pick. I'm running VLC on my FireTV (the original: about 4.5" × 4.5" × 0.75"), but I'm guessing it's the first one.

Nice!! Thanks.  ¶  Not sure if this is worth mentioning or not, but usually FireTV prompts me regarding the availability of new updates for any given application. And I think when I got prompted and installed 3.0.10, that's when I lost the file queue feature. And I never got prompted regarding the availability of 3.0.11. Perhaps that has to do with correlates to the procedure involved in your recent update to the webpage. Hopefully, now, other FireTV users will get informed that 3.0.11 is available.  ¶  By the way, it took me a bit of effort to figure out how to install the .apk on my FireTV, but I finally got it. I installed VLC-Android-3.0.11-ARMv8.apk and all is well. I really missed having a file queue and I'm real glad it's back in 3.0.11.
Thanks to everyone at VLC for what continues to be great software.
