When you playback, you can activate it in the adv options.
If only that were the case.
After I read this, I started up VLC again and tried it again. I hit the orange "play" button and it started playing the first alphabetical video. Touching the screen, I selected the "..." button, and there it was. I also noticed that there were "skip back" and "skip next" buttons next to the "pause" button. I hit the phone's back button to get back to the video list, as there is no "stop" button. I then scrolled down. The orange "play" vanished. So, the only way to start a video was to select it. At that point, the skip buttons and the shuttle selection were gone.
I then stopped the video and scrolled back to the top of the list. The orange "play" button was back. I selected it. Sure enough, the skip buttons were back, as well as the shuttle option.
I found a bug. No matter how a video is started, all of the options should be there, even when the "play' button isn't selected.
UPDATE: Another bug... VLC doesn't remember that shuffle is set from one instance of VLC to another. In other words, if VLC is stopped and then restarted, shuffle is not remembered. That option should be sticky.
