Cookie Management in HLS with LibVLC

Can we set cookies using libvlc?
As per this enhancement (
https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/9632), cookie management is now supported in HLS.
Is it possible to use it with libvlc?

You can get them, yes. But I don't see what you mean with "set cookies".

I think he means, is it possible to provide the session cookie (provided when downloading the playlist file) on all further get requests, providing the session cookie.
I've reopened the ticket that should have resolved this feature:
https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/9632#comment:6
I'm sure we could source some test streams.
