Is this a bug with VLC on Android TV or am I missing something?

Try Kodi, it's awesome!+1. Exact same issue. Sees the server; says directory is empty. Can anybody here recommend another player since we're obviously not getting support from VLC? Just want to play avi, mp4, mkv, etc. from my Windows Home Server to my Shield TV...

What's your point? How does this relate to the thread topic?VLC media player is an open source software.It is available for all platform like Linux,mac OS,Solaris etc.
