VLC + H265 + wireless causes reboot

Postby dmitche3 » 15 Apr 2015 02:05

This is a strange one here. Forgive me but I'm new to Android.

My Galaxy 5 will reboot when I try to view a H265 video selected from ES File Manager when the file is on my LAN. 100% of the time. VLC starts up and after a few seconds my phone reboots.

Copying the file to my machine works fine. So the problem appears to be something with VLC accessing a file over my LAN.

Playing H264 via the ES File Manager and VLC starts up properly and VLC properly plays. So I don't believe that it is a networking issue per say.

Ooops, Running Lollipop on the Samsung Galaxy 5.

I've searched for a debug file or log file but couldn't find one.

http://wiki.videolan.org/Android_Report ... _not_crash

Or connect USB/wireless and use adb logcat.
