Timed Auto play

Postby Jameskop » 20 Feb 2015 00:17

Hi all,
first time user here. I am looking for an android media player that is capable of starting by itself on a pre programmed time and date and going through a play list and then stopping. The idea is for the running of a completely automatic fm radio station in a remote part of the Solomon Islands. It would have to run off an Android tablet. Does anybody know of such a thing being available or would that be something that would have to be created? Will VLC do the job? My guess is no.
Cheers
James

Seems you are looking for VLM. Are you ?
https://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation ... HowTo/VLM/

If you want to stream from the Android tablet, refer to this thread.

If you want to play the stream on your tablet, I think the VLC app will be sufficient, but I might be wrong (the stream playing feature might not be implemented, I am not aware).
