can libvlc set frame parameters like frame rate or skip ,i saw frame skip can be set ,but it can not tranfer to libvlc lower layer.

My scenario is : i add some video process on raw YUV420 which cost much cpu mips （perhaps its process time cost more than 40ms）, so that subtitle can not work properly ; so i have to check current fps , and lower fps . i can not find related java api for it . could you come back to me if you know better solutions.
