VLC media player v 0.9.9 running on Android 4.2.2

Dear Forum Members

I have run into a few unusual problems while using VLC on my Hannspree 10.1" tablet that, unfortunately, I am unable to do anything about.

Here are the problems I am experiencing:

1) At random time, when playing a *.flv video VLC will stop/abandon that video two or three seconds before the video naturally ends, this is especially noticeable on music videos.

2) VLC, for an unknown reason, will start to go into "pause mode" before playing a *.flv video, I will then have to tap the "play" icon within 3 - 5 seconds on the video screen before the screen fades to black.

3) Before Android 4.2.2 was installed on my tablet, almost 30 percent of my .flv videos would automatically play at double speed but the same videos would play at normal speed when played using VLC (v 2.1.5) on my windows PC. However, now a recently acquired *.flv video is again playing at double speed.

My question is this, and maybe somewhat oversimplified, is it possible that these problems are caused by bugs or is there some preferential settings within VLC, that I am unable to find, that may solve these niggling and persistent problems.

PS. Please note, my videos are kept on my central NAS unit which can be accessed by both my windows PC and Android tablet.

Do you get these problems if the file is played from the SD card?

Hi Edward

You asked:

No, I do not save data or anything else to my SD cards on my tablet and, to tell you the truth, I do not believe tablets are sufficiently secure to take the chance.

I also get another problem with VLC when playing files from the USB drives connected to my NAS unit, whenever VLC finishes playing a file VLC reverts to a blank white page showing my internal and additional SD cards in the top corner of the screen.

However, this last problem is more of an annoyance but my first three problems are real problems.
