It would be great if we could get the station name and currently playing artist/track titles displayed for audio streams in VLC for Android. This works as expected on the desktop version.

Here's an example stream URL: http://195.154.72.66

Is there a better place to post this? Do the developers check this forum?

This is the case with any and every radio stream. There's no metadata whatsoever. Do you really need a log file? I don't believe this is a bug, but a yet to be implemented feature.

If it is working fine on the desktop, pulling meta from the stream should also work fine in theory on Android.

But unfortunately, all we get is:

http://[stream url]
Unknown Artist - Unknown Album

I hope someone can get around to fixing this. Streaming radio is one of my primary uses for VLC.

Are there any plans for getting this to work? Could someone look into it? If it's an easy fix, it would be great to see it happen.
