mu3 playlist handling

Hello

I might be missing something but how do I use a .mu3 playlist from VLC (using version build d198dc0) ?

It does not show up in the file browser (within VLC). Using a file manager -> open with VLC doesn't work either.

Just tested again: playlist files can be loaded just fine and all items are expanded and play correctly.

It's just that exposing these files isn't enabled in the directory browser.

Well, maybe I am just way to stupid to find it, but if you can not see the playlist files how do you "load them just fine" ?

I'd love a hint for that.

Thanks for your efforts in advance

Kind regards

How do you create custom playlists in VLC for Android? There's no option to add songs, albums or artists to a playlist, that I can find.

There is no UI to create them, yet.

MRL or through external intents.

edwardw,
I am able to view a web cam stream which is on the same LAN as the android device by inputting the web cams address into the VLC for android player. There does not seem to be a way to save that web cam address to bring up at a different viewing session. On a windows PC the address for the web cam is saved in an .xspf file.

Could you please detail what it is you do to load and view from an .xspf file on a windows computer to your VLC for android? Or, explain if there is a way for VLC for android to remember that web cam stream address?

Many thanks for all your efforts with the VLC android project.

MRL or through external intents.
Last timeI tried to open http://server/playlist.m3u but it did not work.
Was this added recently?
Or am I misunderstanding they way to open a playlist?

Yeah. We're working on the playlist GUI, but it still needs some polishing before it can be committed.

Great, that you are allready working on it. I just want to inform you, that opening a stream link from webbrowser like http://server/listen.pls doesn't work.
I'm hopening for the next update.

Thanks for your great work!
