How do you play a DVD on Android?

https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/7563 was closed as fixed. This ticket is about playing DVDs on Android. How do you do this? I was able to navigate to the folder and play a single .VOB file, but I wasn't able to open the entire folder as a DVD complete with menus. If there's an option to do it it seems to be very well hidden.

Support is still experimental but you should be able to see the main menu if you load an ISO file.

The ticket is about playing a folder of files, not an ISO. Was it improperly closed?

That will be a nice feature to have, I will discuss this with fellow developers, we have many changes planned for DVD playback right now.

Usually, people transfer iso, not VIDEO_TS folders...

.iso can be a pain when you're using a SD card formatted in FAT32 and the size of the .iso is larger than the max file size. Besides, doesn't the non-android version of vlc already support vob folders?

Only ISO files are supported at the moment.

I too would like to see support for vob folders. Most DVD ISOs exceed the max file size allowed on fat32, and as the microSD in my tablet has eight times the storage capacity of the tablet itself, it's the only place I can put a DVD image.
I was able to get around the problem for the time being by ccopying the vob folders to the SD card and used the Wondershare player to access them.
