Subtitles by Intent

Postby diegotormes » 02 Oct 2013 21:56

Hi. First of all, congratulation to the developers and all community for this great project.

I'm trying to launch a video with subtitles (srt file) by vlc on android.

I have a video file in a http server (uri: http://www.someserver.com/video.mp4) and a subtitle file in other http server.

Can you consider to implement on vlc for android the using of "putExtra" method to pass the uri of the subtitle? or is there another way to pass this data with Intent class?

How can I use it? I can't find any documentation.

Also, what does it mean only for files? Doesn't work with streams? Why?

Thanks

Because so far, it's limited to files, in the core. We need to fix that.
