Rewind and fast forward

When playing a video file in VLC, if you want to rewind (or fast forward) you just have to swipe backwards (or forward) on the video. However if you are playing an audio file it doesn't seem possible. Would you be able to implement this for audio files as well? You can make the hit box just below the seek bar - where the artist name and album name is, or where the album art is.

The seek bar most definitely exists for the audio player.

Sorry I wasn't very clear. In VLC for windows you can press Shift+Left and it will move backwards 3 seconds. When playing a video in VLC for android if you swipe left it will move backwards 3 seconds (longer if you swipe harder). Would it possible to do the same when playing audio? I know the seek bar exists, but if I just want to rewind a little bit quickly I can't do that right now. Playing podcasts which are 2 hours long means that if you want to go back using the seek bar, it will be on the order of minutes rather than seconds (and even then you need to have a steady hand!)

Did you try out the "Jump to Time" feature?

No, I am currently on the most current version from the Play store which is 0.0.8 right now. That will be useful for large accurate jumps, but for intricate jumps of 3-5 seconds, it would be awesome if you could skip forward or backwards in the same manner as you can when watching a video in VLC for android.
