feature request: deleting file history

Hi, I'm using VLC 0.8 on a Asus Transformer Prime TF700 and I'd like to have the option of deleting the recent file history (or disable the file history option altogether). Is this possible? The only option is to delete the recent search history, not the recent files opened... Which is annoying when you're streaming lots of video from the web.
