Any plans on making this compatible with the Nexus 4? I finally received my order this weekend and was sad to discover that you can't even try to install it from the Play store.

Yes, VLC is compatible with the Nexus 4. You can install a nightly build here: http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/arm ... -debug.apk
