Hi!

I have a Samsung SMART TV UE55D8005. When i bought it i also got a Samsung Galaxy S 5" WIFI. With the Galaxy i can use the smart view app and the application "Dual view" and actually pick up the tv picture from my tv over the Wireless network. Now i am trying to find out if this is possible to do on a pc with Videolan. The mission is to have the stream from my TV to my PCs as well as in the Galaxy S

I used Wireshark to look into the stream data from the TV when it streams the data to the Galaxy S:

Source 192.168.1.83 (Samsung TV) - Destination 192.168.1.82 (Samsung Galaxy S) Source Port websm 9090 Destination Port 35294

I don't have a Samsung TV, so I am not sure what protocol it uses. But I have a satellite box that I stream from. You can try something like:

"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" http://192.168.1.83:9090

to record while watching,

"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -vvv --sout="file/ts:U:\vlcrecord_%TIME%.ts" --sout-display http://192.168.1.83:9090

Well, in VLC for Android you can try opening the MRL from the smart TV through the "open MRL" button in the main interface.
