720p avi Play Back

Running Evironmemnt:
teclast tpad a10t
android 4.0.3
The native player in the mobile supports 1080p(avi) Play back.

I using vlc(0.0.3) to play avi file(720p)
hardware acceleration has been enabled in the vlc.
The Playing Back is not smooth.,and some times screen stays still

How to optimize vlc android so that it can smoothly playback 720p?
And How to test whether to use hardware decoding?

Then, did you enable NEON when you built VLC-Android?

I set the evironment varliable as follow:
export ANDROID_NDK=...
export ANDROID_SDK=...
export ANDROID_ABI=armeabi-a7v

But I don't export NO_NEON=1

so have I enabled the NEON?

Then, I Test the VLC (NEON) verion in the google play,
it also can't play avi(720p),not smooth,and some time it stay still.

Hmm, did you mix up armeabi-v7a with "armeabi-a7v"?

it is" export ANDROID_ABI=armeabi-v7a"
not "ANDROID_ABI=armeabi_a7v"
