In case you don't already have it, here is logcat output of an attempted launch of VLC on my Galaxy Nexus, running Android 4.1.

I see what appears to be a nice, orange title bar for the app, and then it closes.

I grabbed the apk from http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/android-v7-neon/ about 30 minutes before this post.

Fixed in latest VLC-android master. Thanks for the bug report.
