HI!

Here is my bug list with VLC 1.6.6.1 (Android 5.0.2, Samsung Galaxy A3):

- VLC randomly fails to display "Stream name" and "Current title"
- Online TV streams fail to play (m3u8)
- Screen Rotation setting is ignored, it always behaves as automatic (sensor)
- It fails to display bit rate
- Album cover art is not downloaded and not shown

Otherwise it is great!

Regards!

here's a new bug in the latest release, minutes into miracasting a video suddenly VLC stops and I have to press the power button to switch on the screen to resume the video, this wasn't happening in previous versions, I hope you fix this.

anybody from VLC here??, I don't mean to bother but there is a horrible bug in the latest release, as I stated above, whilst I'm miracasting the player stops few minutes into the video, then I have to press the power button to turn on the screen, I'm using a Note 4 and miracasting using the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter, please fix this for the next release.

I chose the option where it asks me to open the video from where I left of or from the beginning, so I go ahead and open the video using ES Explorer and I choose to start from the beginning but it doesn't, it plays where I left of.

still with the latest release the player stops after my screen timeout is 5 minutes, so whatever timeout I set for my phone VLC will stop the video as I'm screen mirroring or using MHL, then I have to open the screen again to press Play, I see new releases of VLC but still the problem is there.

updates are appearing on the Play store yet none fixes this screen timeout issue whilst screen mirroring, look at the comments below, please fix this for us, your loyal users.

Not sure if it is a bug or not but on version 1.7.4 when I go into directories and find a media folder on my SD card I can select play on the folder itself. This will play the 1st video in the folder but none of the rest.

Feature request: Audio delay as a preferences setting

It would be great if one can can set audio delay as a preference.
I am using VLC a lot to watch movies in my car, streaming the sound via BT to the car hifi. Currently I have to set the audio delay (which is always 500ms) for each video again.

Boy where to start: Love VLC on my laptop and as it works so much better than KODI when playing files from my Western Digital network drive I tried to run VLC on my NVIDIA Shield Android device.

Well after 2 days I gave up trying to figure out how/where/why the Local Network folders were located and for some reason, only videos which were on my network drive before I installed the VLC app were being shown. Even if I placed a VLC created file [from my laptop] in a folder which this app displayed other videos the new video would not show up in the list.

So I gave up and loaded ES Explorer so I could search my drive and launch VLC from ES Explorer and that works sort of. Some files, again created by VLC as "xyz.ts" files would play fine while others would only play the sound. These all played perfectly on my laptop.

Now for the thing which confuses the heck out of me. How on earth do you shut down a video???????????

On some videos, you can move the play time cursor near to the end of the video and it will shut down at the end while other videos the cursor has no effect on the play time position icon. There is no stop button only a pause, play, FF, RW which may or may not work but no way to stop these from playing unless I go to the Android settings and force a shut down of VLC.

Hello! It is not enough support to change the UserAgent in the version for VLC-Android. Please make a pickup tag "#EXTVLCOPT: http-user-agent =" from the playlist. Or from the "Settings" item. I do not think that it will be difficult for you to do. Thank you for your efforts.

Something must changed in later versions of VLC 1.8.0 that breaks the support for some media(mp4 videos[video is only black, but audio plays]) for my 'Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro'.

VLC-Android-1.7.0-20151127-0413-x86.apk works great but VLC-Android-1.8.0-20151128-0411-x86.apk not

Any comments from the developers?

Just loaded last VLC-Android-1.9.10 vor ARMv7. What I'm looking for is the possibility to enable virtual headphone spatialization[1], but have not found this option in preferences in this build and also not on current stable VLC for Android. Currently I have the phenomenon that stereo recording (flac 44.1 upto 192kz) cause the in head position effect as well as extrem left or right position effect. Are there any plans to include the virtual headphone spatialization[2] from main VLC into the Android tree as well? The headphone option in within the equalizer sound a bit unnatural for me and seems not to change any phase information between the two channels.

[1] As headphone I'm using a wireless Sennheiser Momentum connected with bluetooth/aptX to Galaxy S4 which works well.
[2] There is a typo in the wiki https://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation ... se_of_VLC/ ... the word spatialization is missing a leading `s'

... there are also some seldom and also random hickups or maybe better called gaps within one track ... (I do not mean gapless play support between two track). Also at Hold/Play with the headset bluetooth comands it happens at continue, that the sound has always a hickup. Maybe this is because the bluetooth audio transport does switch from ordinary A2DP to aptX but this I can not check this with logCat.
