The issue is fixed in the beta. We are currently stabilizing it before the publication.
Hello,

I tried beta version 3.6.0 beta6 today and I got stuck with an infinite waiting when I try to launch download of subtile. New interface seems nicer though

I'm using the beta/nightly 3.6.0 Beta 6 ARM 7 version for Android, and I'm able to download subtitles, but now the search function isn't working very well:

1. When you select Download Subtitles, it loads a whole bunch of search results, but none of them is the correct one. They're almost correct. VLC searched for NCIS.S22E05.HDTV.x264-TORRENTGALAXY.mkv and all of the results were NCIS related, but none of them were for that episode.
2. When you edit the search query and put the correct information in the Program Name, Season, and Episode fields, it gives you correct results, but it doesn't show you the name of the release group/ripper that each result corrosponds to, so you can't tell which one you need to download. But if you download everything in the list and go back to the track list, the tracks are named after the release group/ripper, so that's not a big deal. But the old way is better. I never had to do that much work before. VLC always gave me the correct search results as soon as I opened the subtitles search page. When you fix this, please keep the Program Name, Season, and Episode fields. I like having that, eventhough I shouldn't have to use it. Getting search results for the correct episode would satisfy me. I don't care if I get results for every release/rip of an episode, just as long as one of them is the correct one.

You can actually make any subtitle file for an episode work with any release/rip of that episode with the Subtitle Sync tool.

Thank You.

Took so long that I had to switch to Kodi :(
