Crashes playing MP4 when subtitles added

From a cleared data and cache VLC

The MP4s which I am trying to playback works fine on the first opening but when I try to enable the subtitles it returns me to the directory screen.

On a second opening of the file from a force close of VLC it closes the video screen and directs me back to the main directory screen.

I have created dump logs for both hopefully they show the errors and the logs have been created successfully as after errors occur on both occasions both start and end logging are greyed out so just took dumps.

I can confirm the MP4 and subtitle SRT video and subtitle both work perfectly in the Android Video Player preinstalled by Samsung

Hi, thank you for reporting this, we had several reports of this without logs and were never able to reproduce this.

Can you try disabling hardware decoding by going to More -> Settings -> Hardware Acceleration ?
What device are you using and what android version please ?

Thanks for the reply I have disabled hardware acceleration with the same result do you need to see a log for this?

I am using a Samsung A71 on Android Version 13 and One UI version 5.1

Would you mind sharing the files causing this please ? It would help us to reproduce this, and fix it, as it doesn't seem to be hardware related in the end.
