3.6 Beta 6 - Widget Not Working

Postby dpj » 02 Oct 2024 20:26

Apologies if I have missed a post but can't see anyone else mentioning this issue. I have been testing 3.6 beta 6 nightly version on a Pixel 6 and everything else seems to be working okay except for the widget. I can click on play icon and music will start playing but unlike the stable version I am used to the play button does not then change to a pause button and the back and forward icons do not appear on either side of it. I can click on the play button again and it will pause playback.

I have been updating app daily and this issue seems to have resolved itself so must have just been a temporary bug.

I once got VLC into a state where the pause button got MOST OF THE WAY to play but then froze as neither. Didn't happen consistently; the button remained usable. I recall that Aza said VLC relies on an Android animation and it's out of VLC's hands.

@Spike1 that's for the in-app animation. About dpj's issue: I cannot reproduce. If you get this again and find a way to reproduce easily, don't hesitate to comment again.
