App crashes when attempting to read an SMB share that doesn't exist anymore

I have an SMB share where i changed it's IP address. On app load, it attempts to read the SMB share using the old IP address and it crashes.

I had to be fast fingered to change the rescan setting to off as the app crashes within a couple of 1-2 seconds of loading. The app crashed a couple of more times, and then it eventually gave me enough time to change the IP address of the SMB share. The app now works as expected.

I guess the code doesn't check if SMB shares are still valid before attempting to read their contents? Or there is an unhandled exception during an existing check?
