Please add Bulgarian to list of languages

Hello,

I am using VLC on Android TV and one inconvenience I encounter frequently is that when the video has subtitles built-in, the subtitles for my language (Bulgarian) are never diplayed automatically. I always need to manually select them. This is because in Settings > Subtitles > Preferred subtitle language, Bulgarian is missing. This makes the subtitle setting in every video default to "Disable Track".

I hope it is not too difficult to add my language to the list.

This language list is generated by the supported translations of the application. Our translations are not imported until the language has at least 50% of the translation done. See https://app.transifex.com/yaron/vlc-trans/dashboard/

I can make an exception and import it, but it would mean the app is only partially (6% at this time) translated for Bulgarian speakers. If you feel like it, please contribute to the translation!

Thanks! I wasn't aware the two are interdependent.

I can contribute but probably not before the summer. I hope the source text can be imported into a CAT tool.

Transifex is a CAT tool in itself. You won't need anything else than an account on their website to start translating.
