VLC Cannot Detect Local Network with Always On VPN enabled

On my Android Phone, I am using NordVPN + Always on VPN in the android settings.

When Always On VPN is enabled and NordVPN is running, VLC cannot locate the local network storage.

When I disable Always On VPN while still running NordVPN VLC detects the local network correctly.

Please advise if this is expected. I would prefer to not have to change my Android settings just to use this VLC function.

What VLC for Android version are you using?

AFAIK NordVPN disallow network discovery by default, make sure "Local network discovery" is enabled in its setting and that you aren't disallowing all non-VPN request in android settings.
