Hi,
I have both VLC Player for Android and VLC Player for Windows. Now my problem is this: I recorded a video with my smartphone (Huawei P40 Pro just in case that matters) in upright format (portrait format). In VLC Player for Windows, this video plays just fine but in VLC Player for Android it is played in a distorted manner in landscape format (widescreen format). Other video player apps for Android that I have installed also play this video correctly but I prefer VLC Player. Videos that I recorded in landscape format are played in the correct orientation and without distortion by VLC Player for Android.
This is the video codec information shown by VLC Player for Windows for the video file that isn't played correctly in VLC Player for Android.
Codec: H264 - MPEG4 AVC (part 10) (avc1)
Language: English
Type: Video
Video resolution: 1920x1080
Buffer dimensions: 1920x1090
Frame rate: 30.153797
Decoded format: Planar 4:2:0 YUV
Orientation: Left bottom
Color primaries: ITU-R BT.709
Color transfer function: ITUR BT.709
Color space: ITUR BT.709 Range
Chroma location: Left
Any idea what this could be due to and how I can fix this problem?
