I was not trying to say that going 10 sec backward is not meaningful.The analogy doesn't work. Of course a car can't move if stopped. (Ignore rolling downhill, collisions, etc.) However, the concept of picking up a stopped car and moving it 100 yards is meaningful. Likewise, moving the play point 10 sec is meaningful and might be useful even if the medium is paused.Is your car capable of going 100 yards backward or forward if the engine is stopped?
