Vlc audio sync issue

Hi!

I actually use vlc 3.5.0 beta 5 on a samsung galaxy S10 with android 12. Everytime i play a video, audio is out of sync. Try to play the same file with samsung video player and everything works fine. Try to change vlc settings but nothing change. The only thing that works is to set audio delay to -200ms for all video.

Hi, yes, VLC has adjustable audio delay but not for individual videos. "The only thing that works" is the only thing VLC has. But are you saying it solves your problem? A developer may be able to tell from your log whether there is a bug.

As I said all works fine with samsung video player.

I just try with mx player and all my video works fine.

But if I try to play these video with vlc, I have to set audio delay to -200ms if I want to have audio synced...

Hello,
THe current output (audiotrack) has some isses to sync when the device has a long audio latency. This will be fixed in a future version of vlc-android, when using VLC 4.0.

Just tried to set vlc to use opensl es instead of audiotrack but the issue is still there...

Or this setting does not work when using phone speakers...

OpenSles has the same issue and is worse than audiotrack.

Currently working on aaudio and improving A/V lipsync when using BT.
