x88pro vlc issues with highlighting

I have a x88pro android tv box with lastest vlc version. When I select a folder from my computer though upnp I have to go to the bottom last folder to it highlighted in blue then go back up. This is annoying without doing this I dunno which folder is selected. I'm assuming this issue is due to vlc on android being used with a phone and pushing on the phone to pick that folder not using a remote. Any suggestions?

On Android TV, the item should be larger and lighter when it's selected. To be sure I understand, it's not the case for you, right?
