Scanning for media files is painfully slow

I have 50,000+ short and long video files in my Internal and External Storage. But VLC is taking hours to parse the media files, still not complete. Whereas MX Player lists all the video files in less than 5 seconds. Why is VLC so slow??

Hi,

Could you provide your VLC logs? Tens of thousands of media is expected to have a non negligeable cost of analysis, but definitely not in the range of hours

To send some logs:
Reproduce the issue and then go to: Settings > Advanced > Debug logs. Then share the logs with the sharing service you prefer (Google Drive, Dropbox, pastebin...).
