VLC starts playing music

When I connect a headset via bluetooth, VLC starts playing music from my albums,
even though the program is closed.
It doesn't happen every time I connect a headset, seems to happen randomly.
How do I prevent that ?

VLC is active even when you press the Home button or swipe it away. This is indicated by a VLC Notification on the Android status line. You can override this by going into Settings (three dots at lower right of screen) and, under Audio at the bottom of the list, enabling "Stop on application swipe". There are two other settings in that same screenful that control what VLC does with the headset.

VLC is dynamic in any event, when you press the Home catch or swipe it away. This is shown by a VLC Notification on the Android status line. You can supersede this by going into Settings (three dabs at lower right of screen) and, under Audio at the lower part of the rundown, empowering "Stop on application swipe".
