Hello, I'm using VLC on Windows for many years and just yesterday I used the Network Stream feature for the first time, it's really great. Via the Preferred Video Resolution option you can even set the stream quality for Youtube Videos (and other sources aswell i assume), which is very helpful for older/weak devices and slow internet connections.
For this reason I think it would also be cool if the Preferred Video Resolution option would be included in the VLC for Android app.
For example, yesterday I tried to stream a youtube video with the VLC app on an older tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab 3). Since it was streaming in 720p, the device got quite hot fast and the video was not running smoothly. Recently due to a new update the native Youtube App won't run on that tablet anymore (Android 4.2.2 support cut off), so the VLC app is a great replacement. In such scenarios, setting the video quality for Youtube/Video stream playback would be a useful option.
