No metadata in android client?

On VLC for Mac 3.0.11.1 , my icecast2 ogg stream displays desired metadata (i.e. artist/title) in the title bar and in the playlist entry. Metadata is updated on each song change as you would expect.

On VLC for Android 3.3.1, the same stream only displays metadata when you create a playlist entry for it, and then only for the first song. It does not update metdata on any song change.

Is there a way to get metadata on song change to work on android VLC. I've already tried using 'icyx:' instead of 'http:'. Thanks in advance.

There is a merge request pending to resolve this issue which has been tested with several online streaming services.
If your radio station is public, can you PM me the URL? I can check the behavior against the branch to see if it works as expected.
