1. On 3.2.12 for Android on an Android TV selecting Random while a track is playing: stops the track, randomizes the track list and then starts whatever random track is at the top. In contrast, on VLC for 3.2.12 for Android on an Android tablet selecting Random while a track is playing: the track continues playing. The track list itself remains unchanged, but when a track finishes a random track is played next.
I'm not sure if the behavior on Android TV is a limitation or a bug, but it is jarring when you're used to the behavior on Android tablets. In any case, the behavior on an Android tablet is more pleasing -- continuing the current track and randomizing after each finishes.
2. On 3.2.12 for Android on an Android TV the "mini player" on the Android TV home screen has disappeared, which used to provide a quick tip type of summary at the top of the Android TV home screen, after backing out of VLC and offered a quick and simple way to stop playback.
