3.3.0 redesign bundles all tracks without metadata into one album

Postby 43615 » 24 Sep 2020 13:33

The majority of my tracks do not have metadata. However, I do have some tracks that don't have artist/album info, but do have cover art.
Since this new update, the app seems to automatically bundle all tracks with no metadata into one album, which causes the alphabetically first cover art of the to be displayed on all of the tracks.
This was a terrible decision.

Hi,
I suppose your tracks are grouped in a specific folder per album?

Not sure how that would help, they're just normal audio files (mostly M4A) with no metadata.

I don't really understand this question. I'm usually just selecting my main folder from the "Browse" tab. The autogenerated "Unknown Album, Unknown Artist" album just takes all tracks in my entire storage that don't have album/artist data and puts them in one big pot, applying the alphabetically first cover art to all of them in the process.
