Storing radio links?

Postby Vernello » 28 Jul 2018 09:51

In older versions of VLC for Android, radio stations were stored in the Open MRL panel. In the latest versions there is no longer this panel, where are these links saved, for a quick opening?

They don't save in "Open MRL" for you?

Yes, it's on the side panel.

Yes, it's on the side panel.

I have not explained well, on the left there is the voice Open MRL, but when you select you can only insert the link with the radio station, only an entry field appears, but on the central panel is not kept the bookmark of this radio. The link appears only in the history panel, but over time and with device reboots the link disappears from the History panel. You can not save the radio as a bookmark, as you could for example on version 2.0.5.

Now it seems that the links are kept in the History panel, but do not appear immediately at the launch of the app, it takes time, and after a restart of the app appear. Is it possible to fix this problem? (to developers)

Yes, VLC Android app just updated and without advising, cleared out the history. Grrr! :x

Since I never found a way to have the app remember (or bookmark) the radio stream coordinates. I now have to painstakingly manually re-enter the full url again.

1) Upon updating, why does the VLC app clear out the history listings without asking?
2) How can we bookmark or save audio streams in the app?
