Delete Equalizer preset

Postby Paradox64 » 17 Feb 2018 04:20

Is there a way to delete a custom preset in VLC 3.0.0 for Android? Somehow I seem to have saved a preset named "New" which is the same as Flat and I want to get rid of it.

'New' is for creating a new preset.

That makes no since because when you change equalizer settings VLC asks you to enter a name for that preset. To have a preset name called New in the list does nothing. When you do change the settings and the dialog comes up to save it, it enters the word New as a default, just like Windows defaults to New Folder when you create a folder but it isn't saved by that name unless you inadvertently hit enter without changing that default name. I'm certain that was the mistakeIy made and I want to delete New and another reset I created called My Headphones.

VLC also will not let you overwrite an existing custom preset so I thinking now that it is a weakness of the program itself and my question was moot. Hopefully this will be resolved in the future because otherwise I like the program.
