Problem - File Goes to Earlier Position Upon After Being Un-Paused

I am running VLC on my Nvidia Shield TV. It works very well. However, I have a problem. I am watching a four-hour video. I was a couple of hours into it, then I paused it to go and do something else. When I un-paused it, it started playing from around the five-minute mark instead of from the two hours I had been watching. Why is this? Please help. Thank you.

I had a similar thing (comes and goes) with the latest beta. Play a movie up to half of it, paused/exited/turned off TV.

Came back, pressed Play from begining. Started from the previous position instead.

Rewinded to the begining, and it jumped back to the previous place. Let it finish, start again and it started from the previous position again.

Didn't see that lately.
