OK:Here are a couple of bugs I have found:
- Sorting of videos is no longer saved. I like mine sorted by date and now every time I come into VLC from a fresh start it's defaulting to sorting by name.
That does not really feel like a bug to me[*]Playback speed is reset if you play a video to the end. So for example, you have the playback speed set to 2.0x and you press the back button before the video ends and resume it later, it remembers the 2.0x speed, but if you let the video reach the end and return to the main interface and play any video, the playback speed is reset to 1.0x.[/list]
What is your OS?So I got the new update today and it seems to mess up a few things
https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc- ... issues/429First as per the video in the link below you can no longer select more than 1 file and erase them in bulk but have to do it one at a time.
https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc- ... issues/430Also as per the same video once a file is erased if you go into a folder with other videos and go back the thumbnail re-appears until you refresh
https://youtu.be/o74vO_-xgHU
https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc- ... issues/431These are pretty minor issues but the next one is pretty big for me
As per the attached picture you can see on the old version on the left you can see the title from left to right but with the new version it seems to want to only display a few of the last characters only making the titles almost unreadable
Is this a glitch or is the app automatically not showing duplicate names in the list when in a folder?

I filed bugs for all your issues.
Thank you for submitting the sort settings issue for me. I really do feel like the playback speed issue is a bug. There is a setting in the app called "Save Playback Speed", and I understand it to mean you set a playback speed and it will persist for all videos until you change it. I always watch all my stuff at 2.0x speed. Now after the update, the playback speed is no longer persistent if you reach the end of a video. It was not working like that before the update. I have to keep resetting the playback speed for each new video, which to me means the "Save Playback Speed" setting is not working as designed.OK:Here are a couple of bugs I have found:

"Refresh" doesn't work at all for me. I'm stuck with the original thumbs, like it or not! , as I've mentioned in another thread. Also as per the same video once a file is eraed if you go into a folder with other videos and go back the thumbnail re-appears until you refresh

Please report this bugreportAbout the playback speed being reset to 1 at the end of a video, I agree with earlcaulley that this is more likely a bug. It seems as long as none of the video plays to the end, the saved Playback speed affects all video playback, but when any video plays to the end, the Playback speed is reset to 1. This behavior does not make much sense to me. Here is a scenario that illustrates the current behavior:
- Select the "Save Playback Speed" setting. (Under "Interface" extra settings.)
- Play video A.
- Change Playback speed to 2.
- Exit the video before the end.
- Play video B. Note that the playback speed is 2.0, so I guess the "Save Playback Speed" setting works.
- Play the video to the end.
- Now play video A. This resumes play at where it was interrupted earlier, but the playback speed is reset to 1.
In which view? Directory or video view?VLC for Android v2.5.12 lists audio files by their Filename--I cannot find a setting to display files by Title as in previous versions. Many audio files use the Title field to list filename + content info, e.g., religious sermon and seminar content.
Please add an option to display files by their Title or Filename.
Thank you for your consideration and incorporation of this option,

yes the older version of VLC did not have this issue until the updated a few weeks agoAbout the playback speed being reset to 1 at the end of a video, I agree with earlcaulley that this is more likely a bug.
