Android: Songs on XSPF playlist cannot be played

Hello,

It is my understanding that XSPF playlists are a "portable" type of playlist, in that it stores the location of tracks but also other metadata such as artist and song title which it can alternatively look for if the file cannot be found in the listed location.

I've copied some songs and a XSPF playlist onto my Android phone but when trying to play songs it says track cannot be found at the listed location. I'm wondering why VLC doesn't then use the other metadata to locate the file.

Anybody have any ideas?

Try removing the path in location, leaving only bare file names, and place the .xspf file in the same folder as your media files.
